Friendship Smart Book Launch Event
Where: Mt Pleasant Baptist Church, 497 Marmion St, Booragoon Perth
Date: Saturday, 12th September
Time: 6:30pm – 8:00pm AWST, plus book signing after
Cost: $35 single ticket, $30 group tickets (6+)
In this 90-minute session, guided by her host and esteemed colleague Maggie Dent, Michelle will unpack her innovative Friendship Smart Framework.
This is not surface-level advice. It’s not a list of “red and green flags.” It’s a fresh, research-informed framework built from over 30 years of working closely with young people that helps you understand how friendships actually work, and what your kids need to navigate them well.
Michelle will bring her sought after warmth and practicality so you walk away with:
✔️how to help kids choose good friends
✔️ what to do when they outgrow friendships or they get dumped by a friend
✔️how to handle meanness and bullying
✔️how to teach them to say “no”
✔️and how the online space is impacting connection.
Get ready for a powerful, practical session that will change the way you understand and support your tween and teen’s friendships.
Friendship Smart is for every parent and adolescent. I am advocating for a future where every young person, regardless of gender, neurotype or social status, has the relationship skills to build connections that truly sustain them.
We have had quite a number of requests from parents asking if they can bring their kids along on the night.
Although this night is for parents, we have decided to open it up and allow your kids to come along (ages 9+). We have had quite a few kids turn up to these events already and they have given us feedback that they learnt a lot from the night which is so lovely to hear.
So, I have made the decision to say “yes” to all kids who want to come. If your tween or teen would like to attend, I need the following from you:
Simply click on the register now button. Once you complete your purchase, you will automatically receive an email containing your ticket for the event. If you don’t receive this email, check your junk folder. If you are still having trouble, we are always here to help at shop@michellemitchell.org
Bring your ticket with you on the night either printed out or on your phone and we will scan your ticket at the entry doors.
