As our kids grow and have an increased need for independence, conflict naturally intensifies in our homes. We become conflict managers! It’s part of our JD. That’s why I have put together this webinar – to upskill you.
I will step you through the process of managing conflict through a connection lens, because there is so much we can do to keep trust and respect at the core of our communication when tensions are high.

But here’s the big bonus, and WHY this webinar is so important. I don’t want our kids to fear or avoid conflict at work, in friendships or in their future romantic relationships. I want them to approach it with ease and a healthy mindset. That starts right now, with us, at home.
As parents, we get a unique opportunity to show our kids how to ‘handle conflict well’. The skills they learn under our roof will travel with them throughout their ENTIRE lives. This is a critical learning time for them.
This webinar will focus on four key areas. Over 60 minutes I want to offer you the following things:
Below I’ve outlined in a little more detail what each area will unpack.
Key mindsets. These are the mindsets that we want our kids to take with them into their future relationships. They will enable our kids to approach conflict with a sense of confidence instead of fear. Conflict is always an opportunity to grow closer and stronger. We learn something new about each other each time conflict arises, which is powerful reason to lean in not away from each other.
Development impacts. Development does play a role in how kids show up to conflict, and what your kids need from you. One simple analogy that will help you understand the parent-child dynamic, and why you need to understand take into consideration your child’s stage of development.
Practical parenting strategies. We are going to unpack a range of practical strategies that I have used with families over my career. You will be able to use these immediately! They will help you choose your battles wisely, develop laser focussed language, read the room, listen actively and manage heated moments. My aims is to help you facilitate objectivity and problem solve, and at times, step up and be the predictable parent your young person needs.
Your conflict style. Let’s stop and talk about your conflict style. This can have a big impact on how comfortable you are with conflict, and why you may be struggling to lean into big or tense moments with your child. I will also reference some great resources for you to grow personally in this area.
