Welcome to the tricky, and rewarding teenage years! This special 90 minute event is designed to help parents and carers hear what a teenager is really saying, and better understand what they’re needing as they grow. You don’t need to be in crisis. You just need to deeply care.
Event: Teens: What They Don’t Tell Their Parents
Where: The TBC Centre (TempleStowe Baptist Church Auditorium), 103-105 Andersons Creek Road, Doncaster East, Melbourne
Date and Time: Monday 2nd March 6:30pm – 8:00pm AEDT, plus book signing
Cost: $35 single ticket, $30 group tickets (6+)
Parenting a teenager isn’t straight forward. Your teenager is always communicating even when they aren’t using words. As a parent or carer, you are often left reading their silence, eye rolls, shifting moods and half-answers, trying to work out what they need from you.
This event is designed to help you hear what a teenager is really saying and better understand what they’re needing from you.
For 30 years I’ve taken parents into the emotional interior of adolescence, and what is influencing it. It’s a place that moves our thinking beyond behaviour, beyond conflict, beyond surface level advice and into what teenagers are actually experiencing.
When parents understand this inner world, communication becomes easier, responses become steadier, and relationships stay intact, even on tricky days. Come with your questions and be ready to leave feeling clearer, more confident, and better equipped to respond in ways that honour who your teen is becoming.
This special 90-minute evening for parents, carers and professionals will be divided into two distinct parts and conclude with time for book signings.
Part 1: Take Home Foundations
The evening will open with a 50 minute presentation exploring:
This first session is designed to steady you, so you can steady them.
Part 2: Live Q & A with Michelle
Here’s where the night will become more interactive.
I will be using a three-step coaching model to guide the audience through real-world ‘hot topics’ they want to discuss. There will be no spotlight and no pressure to share. If you’d like to be part of the online interaction on the night, please bring your iPhone or android phone with you.
Expect audience led conversations around:
You will leave with practical tools you can use immediately, at the dinner table, in the car and during heated moments.
This night is for parents and carers who want to stay connected as their teenager grows and changes. You don’t need to be in crisis. You just need to deeply care.
